![]() ![]() And having a big butt was never a bigger deal in black and Latin communities because it was more common. Prior to Kim and Coco there were millions of black women that had big butts but did not receive media attention the way these women did. So I would say if anything black men liking with with bigger butts, and women that liked black men and got surgery to enhance theirs butts to appeal to black men(cough Kim k and coco) and got into the spotlight that is really when all of the sudden big butts became this popular thing. But once an Armenian white women like Kim and coco became popular because of their butts that is when it seems like it became this huge trend. I don't know if it was black culture that paved the way since black women have always been built a bit differently and had bigger behinds(generally) and it was never a fad then. in fact I would say that a decade ago the number of white or Asian women with what would be considered big butts in the sense of the word was relatively low, whereas in black and Latin communities it was much more common. Of course when the Hispanic population started growing in large numbers in the US(more specifically from the Caribbean), it only helped increased the national acceptance of woman with big butts and lots of curves. If you look at how female beauty is portrayed in American history, it was usually a slender female who was relatively thin and not a thick female with lots of curves. I do agree that White men weren't traditionally known for praising curvy women or woman with big butts. ![]() ![]() It was really Black culture that paved the way for big butts being acceptable in mainstream America. ![]()
